Clear Wave Tours at Mangrove Cay was a truly one-of-a-kind experience. The clear kayaks add an extra layer of excitement, letting you take in the beauty beneath you as you paddle. We made our way through the mangroves, paddling out toward Iguana Island and back, weaving around small clusters of mangrove trees. Along the way, we spotted turtles in the cay, grounded yacht-which was an unexpected sight. There were a few shallow areas where we had to get out and walk the kayaks. Guests are advised not to swim, and we respected that throughout the experience. What really stood out was being surrounded by endless shades of turquoise, with the water shifting color depending on the depth. Even as boats passed by, they were considerate around kayakers, and riding the gentle wake added a bit of fun to the journey. The ability to see straight to the bottom through the clear kayaks while gliding past mangroves made the entire experience feel immersive and surreal. Easy to book, easy to find, friendly guys when we got there and good clear kayak. We went on our own without a guide and found this very easy. The mangroves are beautiful and definitely worth kayaking. We saw loads of turtles and a baby shark. The equipment was very good and the starting point was ideal for reaching the mangroves and getting into the good stuff quickly. We started a little late and we finished a little late. The tour guide knew the the wildlife and biology pretty well. We saw tons of turtles and a barracuda. The iguana beach experience was probably not worth it if you've seen a lot of them recently, as we have.
